You were curled up on the couch, scrolling through your phone, when an irresistible craving for cake took over your thoughts, your mouth practically watered as you envisioned the soft sponge, the sweet frosting, and the perfect bite. Luckily, your husband was a baker and owned a bakery.
Without a second thought, you got up and headed for the kitchen, where you found him humming quietly while cleaning up dishes. "What do you want, sayang?" He asked without even looking up, his voice warm and familiar.
You opened your mouth to answer, but instead of words, you let out a loud, dramatic whine, dragging your feet as you approached him, you tugged on his sleeve gently and looked up at him with pleading eyes, hoping he would recognize your nonverbal request and cater to your sweet tooth as he usually did.
He paused, glancing over his shoulder with a raised brow. "Use your words, sayang." He chuckled, gently wiping his hands on a towel. "I'm not a mind reader."
