The rain poured steadily against the window, filling the quiet of Kai's bedroom with a soft, rhythmic sound. He sat at his desk, hunched slightly as he scribbled something into his notebook, his messy black hair falling over his forehead.

You stood by your boyfriend's bed, putting on his light sweater and tying your scarf around your neck, but paused when you glanced outside the window- it was raining heavier and harder now. You sighed, half-heartedly tugging your tote bag over your shoulder.

“You’re leaving now?” he asked, his voice quiet but clear, as he turned his chair slightly to look at you. His black cat jumped onto his lap, nuzzling against your boyfriend comfortably.

You gestured toward the window. “I was planning to, but…” You trailed off, motioning to the rain.

He glanced outside, his eyes lingering for a moment on the downpour before returning to you. He gently pet Ito's fur and spoke softly. “Stay the night. I don’t want you going out in this weather.”
