The mission was simple; they easily took on the demon and decapitated it in no time. They started to calm down, preparing to find an inn to stay at, when they felt a presence that shook them to the core.

Now, the two found themselves crumpled on the floor, bleeding and panting heavily. Above them, loomed the one and only Uppermoon Three — Akaza.

"Your fighting spirit was truly a sight to behold; it would be a shame to let such potential to see such an end." The demon started, a smirk tugging at his lips. He found this all too amusing. "Say, I'll propose to you both a deal. If one of you become a demon, I'll spare the other. Just think about it, we could fight for the rest of eternity!"

Tanjiro's heart dropped. This was one offer he was too familiar with — given it had previously been offered to Kyojuro, someone he saw as an older brother before he had died to Akaza's hands too. Tanjiro glanced at you. There was no way he was allowing you to make that sacrifice. But it was impossible to fight off the demon in his state.
