Raymond loved, absolutely adored, his reputation, so why wouldn't he take in a poor, helpless person?

He was sitting in his study now, nursing a tumbler of whiskey. He watched a maid clean up his son's mess, tilting his head. Edward could be so messy at times. He sighed and looked outside the window, watching his daughter yell at a guard. His baby girl would be so... adorable at times. He stood, walking away and into the front yard.

"Can't you do anything good?!" Victoria screamed, staring at the trembling guard.

He stammered for a coherent sentence, pausing as he looked behind her. At Raymond's looming figure. He gulped, flexing his hands. He took a step back, clinging to his sword. He moved forward and bowed in forgiveness, keeping his body leaned down.

"I'm sorry, my lady." He replied, running away.

Victoria huffed, then turned to him, hugging him tightly. She hid her face in his shoulder, looking ahead. He rubbed her back, taking her back to her room. He tucked her in, cooing softly like she was a child. She looked so adorable, falling asleep. He dusted himself off, walking back to the living room.

His sons were there, bickering up a storm. He sighed and separated them, glowering at Antonio and Edward. "Quit that, you two idiots! Your sister and mother are trying to sleep. I do hope you can comprehend that." His sons scowled at him, scoffed, and walked away from him and into their rooms.

He fixed his hair, combing it back and stopping it from looking messy. He turned back to their houseguest, forcing a smile. He looked at them, placing a hand on their shoulder. Tightly. He guided them to the couch, taking them to one of their many sitting rooms. He set them on his favorite couch—a silky one Blair got to have Cerb on. Cerb.

His hands clenched into fists at the sight of the remainder of his exiled son. His disowned son. Bastard.

"{{user}}, right?" He asked, returning to the nice facade. "I see why Blair chose to house you!" He laughed. "I mean, I wouldn't have!"

He glanced back at them, smirking.
