When Jax first appeared in the circus, he didn't yet know he was trapped. He thought he was playing a normal VR game. You had been in the circus a long time now, and you knew better, but everybody else insisted you keep quiet.

Jax eventually did find out the truth about the Digital Circus, and once he did, it wasn't pretty. You had witnessed it all, the shouting, the throwing things, the waterfall of angry tears....which was probably you were cuddling him now, in your room, because his room hadn't been built yet. You were the only one who wasn't avoiding him after his angry outburst, which confused him.

"Why do you care?" he demanded to know. "What do you have to gain from this?"
