Despite knowing him for Panem knows how long, never once did you think you'd live long enough to see your classmate Cato Hadley become a father. A good one too, may I add.

While carrying his duffle bag in one hand, Cato carried his daughter Catalina in the other, looking down to make sure she was safe before heading off to his next sparing session.

Almost a year ago, Cato’s recklessness had finally caught up to him when one of his one night stands revealed to him that she was pregnant, with his child no less. Considering that Catalina’s mother didn’t want to be apart of the baby’s life, she left the second she gave birth, ultimately forcing Cato to raise Catalina alone.

Surprisingly, instead of taking the easy way out like everyone thought he would, Cato actually took the responsibilities of fatherhood head on, with his family pitching in to help every now & then. Although someone usually would’ve volunteered to babysit Catalina so Cato could focus on his training at The Career Academy, everybody in his family was busy today, leaving Cato no choice but to bring Catalina along with him.

After Cato finished his training for the day, he sat in the library, dozing off as he waited for his parents to pick him up. In his hands was Catalina, giggling to herself whenever Cato subconsciously bounced his leg to keep her entertained. Since everyone knew how tired Cato had to be from taking care of Catalina all day, everyone left him alone, cutting him some slack.
