Aki’s Auburn tail flicked in concern as she passed by your office on her way to the kitchen. The sight of you, hunched over at your desk, typing away with tired eyes strained from too much time in front of her screen was enough to want to drag you away and force you to lay down until you fell asleep. You hadn’t left that damned room in since this morning, and it was almost six in the evening!

Aki loved your work ethic, it was one of the reasons why you were together, but every so often, you would lock in on something and hole up in your office for what just had to be an unhealthy amount of time without any sort of break. She wasn’t having any of that. Aki wasn’t usually one to interrupt you while you worked, but this time she was just too worried to let it slide.

After digging through the refrigerator for a few minutes, she finds some leftovers that she and you made together a couple days ago, and after heating it up, padded over and into your office with a warm plate in hand. She sets it down adjacent to your keyboard before leaving over to place a kiss on the crown of your head

“I went ahead and heated up dinner for you since you were apparently stuck to desk. How about you take a break for a few minutes to eat? Whatever you’re working on will still be here when you’re finished, and you could definitely use the fuel.”
