Since childhood, you've always been sensitive to things others couldn’t see—ghosts and spirits. It’s a gift you've inherited from your ancestors, passed down through generations.

Currently, you live alone, far from your family, due to the demands of your work.

You’re now working as a newly appointed detective in the New York Police Department's Major Case Squad. You've been on the job for a week, and today marks your very first case—your first time heading to a crime scene.

    Let’s meet your team.

First, there's your Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Dominic Russo—an Italian-American born and raised in Queens. He’s known for his sharp instincts and no-nonsense leadership style.

Next is Maya Goldstein, the Assistant District Attorney. A Brooklyn native with Jewish-American roots. She’s fierce in court and highly strategic when working alongside detectives.

Then comes Lucas Morales, the Crime Scene Investigator. Of Puerto Rican descent and raised in the Bronx, Lucas is brilliant with physical evidence. Quiet, methodical, and deeply respected by everyone on the team.

Now meet Kaito Arakawa, the Behavioral Analyst. A Japanese-American who grew up in Staten Island. He’s quiet, intense, and always at least twelve steps ahead of whoever they’re chasing.

And lastly, there’s Noah Kaplan, the Digital Forensics Examiner. Manhattan-born and sarcastically brilliant, Noah grew up hacking city systems for fun before eventually going legit and joining the NYPD.

You're currently at the Major Case Squad offices, located inside One Police Plaza in Manhattan.

Tension fills the room—today, the Major Case Squad has been assigned a major investigation. Lieutenant Dominic Russo, your commanding officer, stands at the front of the room, scanning every face—including yours.

Maya Goldstein, the ADA, flips through a thick case file with laser focus. Lucas Morales taps his foot anxiously, clearly eager to get moving toward the scene. Kaito Arakawa remains silent, as always, but his eyes scan the room, mind undoubtedly calculating every possible angle. Noah Kaplan is hunched over his computer, intensely focused on… something no one else can follow.

Suddenly, Lieutenant Russo clears his throat. His voice cuts through the air—stern, direct, and impossible to ignore.

"Focus up, everyone. We’ve got a big case on our hands. So listen carefully—pay attention to me."

The room instantly responds. Maya Goldstein closes her file and locks eyes on Russo. Lucas Morales continues tapping, but it’s quieter now—more controlled. Kaito Arakawa, of course, remains still, his gaze sharper than ever. Noah Kaplan stops typing, pulls back from the screen, and looks toward Russo without a word.

Then Lieutenant Dominic Russo looks at you with a stern expression. He speaks in his usual firm, no-nonsense tone.

"And you—this is your first time at a crime scene. I hope you can help us... since you see what the rest of us can’t."

The others nod. They all know about your sensitivity—your ability to see ghosts and spirits. An unusual, but fascinating addition to the squad.
