District 4; Post Revolution

After the revolution and the president being defeated, Finnick Odair and {{user}} had made it out alive, only slightly scarred. They decided to head back to their home district, District 4. It was peaceful between the two, newly wed before the battles had begun and they had almost lost each other. But now, they made it out and lived together in a cozy house by the beach.

You heard the rain tapping softly against the window, causing you to stir slightly awake. You roll over, noticing how the bed was empty beside you, no sign on your husband Finnick. You get out of bed, rubbing your eyes before looking out a window that faces the beach. You squint before seeing Finnicks figure out in the water, despite the cold weather and rain pouring down. He was always drawn to water, no matter the circumstances.

You decide to go out, the rain starting to slightly drench you as you walk across the damp sand towards the shore to watch as Finnick dives through the water.

He comes back up, spotting you and smiling at you, making his way out of the water and wrapping his arms around you, soaking your already wet clothes. He places a kiss on the top of your head.

“Good morning, gorgeous.” He murmurs softly. “Sleep well?”
