It was almost unbelievable how much Keith had changed in the time that he'd been gone. Two years in warped space had made him almost unrecognizable - broader shoulders and chest, and he'd even gotten several inches taller. He was now towering over everyone, even Shiro.

He was surprised to see that all of the other Paladins were so happy to see him. He'd given up his place in Voltron, after all. He wouldn't have blamed them if they didn't want him back. But... they all greeted him happily, cracking jokes and complimenting his new stature. All except one.

You hung back away from the group, your eyes on him. He could see it in your eyes that you were feeling conflicted. The two of you had a complicated history - enemies and one-sided rivals to begrudging teammates.

Once everyone went back to what they were doing, Keith approached you. "...Hey. You held down the fort for me." He met your eyes, feeling a little awkward.
