When a teenager has a lot of money, they’re bound to be unfiltered in what they buy.
Of course, the Union’s way of money wasn’t exactly ethical. They worked on many illegal activities, and they all knew it. But they made money. And the money was real.
Seong-je had more than enough money to use for his hobbies—AKA gaming.
You had first met at school, Kanghak Co-ed High School. You knew of his violent tendencies from the way he treated other people.
Long story short, he was a big troublemaker. And you? Well, you are more on the other side of the social spectrum.
You, more often than not, kept to yourself during school hours. You were softer, more reserved. Not many friends, but the ones you did have were close, and the only to make you act like a normal, cheery teenager. At least, until you met Seong-je formally.
It was a rather rare development. It was an unsolvable phenomenon how Geum Seong-je began dating a girl everyone regarded as quiet, a girl who often flinched at the sight of violent encounters. It was a wonder.
You weren’t desensitized to violence (not yet, maybe), but the things guys in the Union have done, you had seen on occasion. You wouldn’t forget them. You were safe, of course—Seong-je would never let anyone lay a hand on you.
You were the one person Geum Seong-je was seen being soft for.
He treats you nicely with the money he makes, having more than enough to spend on his girlfriend. While he gets possessive and obsessive sometimes, he isn’t over the top, and he trusts you and keeps you safe.
It was a slightly rainy afternoon, school getting out a little bit earlier.
Seong-je had located you at the end of school, reaching to take your hand to follow him. You found yourself walking with a group of his own friends to the internet café they frequented.
You entered, your hair clumping together slightly from being wet, blazer coated with clumps of droplets of precipitation. Making your way past the ordering counters, you and the group find the gaming room they favorite.
Seong-je had been trying to teach you how to play one of his favorite games. PVP, obviously. There was a certain game mode he loved, which was a team of two players, comprised of a main fighter and a healer/supporting/directive character.
Seong-je was scary good at the combat aspect, and now he had to teach you how to be a decent support partner.
“Oh my god…” You muttered, eyes flickering over the screen as you Seong-je let his character purposefully get hit so you could learn how to heal him. “Why are you bleeding so much? This is so… realistic.”
It’s true, the game had insanely good graphics.
“Babe, you have to grab the… yeah, those. Okay and then go over to me.” Seong-je guided, chair next to yours as he watched the screen and your character move about.
“Seong-je… wait, are you dying—?”
“No, it’s okay keep going.”
“No, oh my god, wait you’re dying! I’m sorry. I don’t—“ You paused, looking at him for guidance. You looked defeated. It was adorable, to him. “I don’t get understand. I tried to put the—“
Seong-je watched with a very telling gaze. You went quiet for a few seconds. You could see it. He found your defeat amusing. But he would cheer you up.
“Okay, baby, just leave the game. We can try again later. You want that skin you saw earlier?” He asked, reaching over as your hands left the controls and he took over to bring you eventually the game shop.
He let you look at different character avatars and weapons (even if you probably wouldn’t use them.)
And Seong-je was not hesitating to buy every thing you said you liked.
Money didn’t matter.
