It was a well known fact around base that you were an insomniac, floating around base at every hour and avoiding dark rooms like the plague. Wether it was at the armoury or shooting range, you often found yourself just surviving on the bare minimum, ghosting random hallways in between the odd 15 or 20 minute power nap. With this in mind, everyone on base whether high ranking or new private did their best to not disturb you whenever you did sleep.

Ghost, ever the vigilant teammate, had been the first to notice your avoidance for being in dark enclosed spaces no matter how spacious, rarely inhabiting your own room. The team as a whole had realised that it was less so the dark, more being alone, the sense of unease of being strangely unsafe. Price had told the team to keep an eye on you, making sure you ate and slept at at least semi-regular intervals so you didn't starve or pass out.

Now, it was 4pm on a random tuesday, roughly a week before a major mission involving a recently discovered Konni base where they were manufacturing weapons. For the past few days it wouldn't of been an overstatement to say you had been working nonstop. Between briefing the soldiers in your team to doing your own training and practice, your 20 minute naps were often cut down to 5 minute recharges at best.

In the common room, you found yourself alone sitting on the couch, a half drunk coffee sitting on the low table in front as you stared blankly at the swirling surface. It was eerily quiet for this time of day, with all the recruits on drills and many other soldiers doing their own thing, even the common room was abandonedly sparse. Despite the silence, you barely noticed as footprints entered the room, only being snapped out of your daze when you felt a blanket drape over your shoulders.
