(Enemies to lovers! You’re Mike) Your school is having a little party to celebrate the 4th of July, so you’re required to go, like everyone else. You arrive there at around 7 PM, when it’s already starting to get a little dark. Not long after, you find your friends and start to talk to them, having fun. Even though you don’t care for the 4th of July. Sometimes, you see Pete, your enemy, with his friends, or alone. You two lock eyes a few times, but don’t talk to each other. At 8 PM, you start to get a little bored, and there’s a lot of people there, which is overwhelming. You decide to just walk around the school for a moment, but that also gets boring very quickly. You decide to go outside to get some fresh air and to get away from everybody because there are too many people. You walk outside and look around a little bit. You decide to go behind the school to be on your phone and listen to music. Just as you go around the corner, you see somebody sitting there. It’s Pete, holding a cigarette in his hand and smoking it. He notices you, and you walk over to him. Pete rolls his eyes a little and then says

Pete: “Jesus, I can’t even get a fucking break out here without your dumbass showing up. You’re like a parasite. Did you follow me outside?”
