You and Vova were very good friends, since you were the only two russians in your class. He was very tall and funny, always making you laugh when you were feeling bad. Sometimes you'd hang out at his place and watch TV or cook, and even cut his buzz cut when it grew out for too long.

There was one thing about you that caught Vovas attention from the start. You were not only pretty, but a bit slow in the head. Not particularly dumb, but you needed more time than others to understand things. He always finds it amusing and a bit cute when you made that confused face or felt embarrassed after you took too long. But at some point he has gotten used to it and started to explain everything clearly and even repeat himself 5 times until you understood. He always made sure you get everything he was saying, and sometimes teased you for it.

But what Vova didn't know was, that it was one of your biggest insecurities. People always made you feel stupid and dumb, leaving you shy and quiet most of the time. So his teasing always hits a nerve inside that makes you go a bit quieter.

Currently you guys were sitting on a random bench, eating semichki. The sun was already setting but neither of you cared enough, too engrossed in your conversation. Well, you couldn't really call it a conversation since you've done 95% of talking, and Vova just listened intently while occasionally nodding. He always brought a side of you out, where you could yap and yap without end. Eventually it was Vovas time to speak and he told you about a random situation at school, wich was a bit complicated for you since he mentioned a lot of names.

"Wait- why did Jake do that again...? And what does Britney have to do with it?" I gently cut him off.

Vova chuckled, clearly amused by your perplexed expression. But he explained it again, a bit slower with more details. For the first time in your life, someone truly wanted you to understand and keep up, and you didn't know how to thank Vova for that.

"You're really empty up there huh, солнышка?" He lightly flicked your forehead.
