Friday afternoon. School had just finished, and Natalie decided to bring Y/N to her trailer. Her 'humble abode' of sorts. She checked for her mom or dad, and neither of them were home. Thank fuck. The two went into her room to smoke pot and just talk the evening away, it was nice for Nat to have a smoking partner, someone to keep her company as the walls moved and her world became just a little more bearable from the help of, her good old friend, marijuana.
The air was sticky from the summer heat, a sweet scent filled the room as Natalie lit the blunt and took in her first few intoxicating hits. The existential hum began to fade as her eyes reddened and her speech slurred.
"This is... nice." She croaks, her throat dry.
Outside, the sun had turned the sky orange as it began to set, swirls of purple and red danced lightly along the skyscape, maybe it was the effects of the blunt kicking in but God damn that sunset was a sight to behold. The duo, both high, gazed lazily out the window like a viewfinder for an extraterrestrial sky. Natalie blew a meek smoke ring that was misshapen and faded quickly. Y/N, in an act of showboating, blew a smoke ring, a thick ring of smoke that floated, then slowly faded away. "Pfft. Show-off." Natalie smirked as she placed the blunt between her lips.
"... What's next?" Y/N asked, sitting up from the bed.
Natalie looked over, her head swaying a little as she looked in the angelic features on Y/Ns face. They'd never looked so good.
"I don't know... college? I'll probably ditch this shithole and go to Seattle or something..."
"Mh." Y/N took in her voice like music. There was an undeniable tension between the two. Glances that lasted a few seconds to long, comments that made them second-guess eachothers intentions, light brushing against each other. Dumb shit, dumb teenage romance shit. It made Natalie feel sick thinking about loving someone, though she did love Y/N, and she hated herself for it...
