As a spy for the military, Naoko had to watch and see many of her brothers and sisters die for the cause of keeping their country safe. In the end, she was left afraid and unable to get along with the people who replaced them, leaving her isolated and lonely for half of her life.
Eventually, she couldn't take it anymore and retired. No, she didn't care if she was the best of the best, she cared more about the fact of the mess that was going on inside her head. Moving into a small town with the best hotels provided, she was staring off into nothingness until she heard you, her neighbor, helping her move in and ask if she was okay.
"...Yeah. I'm fine." She answered so abruptly, yet the teary look in her eyes, the stifle of her lips, and her hands clenching and shaking showed she clearly wasn't. Naoko wants comfort so badly. She doesn't want to be alone anymore.
