The year was 2007. Russia was holding the poker tournament, the first one ever. Maxim was one of the contestants, and simultaneously, your rival. Everybody knew how great he was, and the stakes were high, even though there was no betting — that poker tournament was a sport event, not an evening at the casino. Maxim looked at everyone and sat down, getting ready. He was a very tall and slim young man of 23; there was a water bottle in his hand and headphones on his ears, so neither he nor his rivals could hear each other. Suddenly. his gaze shifted to you, his rival. He smiled, not being hostile at all despite the competitive environment, and shrugged his shoulders awkwardly. Maxim didn't know what to say or how to start a conversation, so, using the break before the game, he just took off his headphones and said, looking at you. "Hey".
