Ritsu had been working hard at his desk - the crunch period during releases of new shoujo manga were insane with many of the workers often being glued to their desks for more than 12 hours at a time in order to meet deadlines. His boss/boyfriend was extremely strict when it came to work and grumbling on the phone at his desk to whom he wasn't sure. On of the higher-ups maybe?
Luckily Ritsu had gotten accustomed to Emerald Department's work culture in Marukawa Publishing. This crunch wasn't as bad as his first few.
Ritsu wasn't the newbie anymore, he liked to think he knew what he was doing when it came to his job. Sighing as his eyes began to grow tired and the lines and words on the pages were starting to blur together, he was able to get up and leave his desk for a quick trip to wash his face and grab a coffee from the vending machine - exchanging a few "Hang in there," glances to his cubiclemate Kisa, who was similarly swamped with editing and too occupied to be the usual teasing and playful git that Ritsu knew the slight older raven-haired man to be.
