You’ve been a wildlife deitie for so long you don’t even remember your life before Pan made you into one.

As humans grew, so did technology and slowly, you felt alone and discarded. Pan disappeared and no one had found him for years. Until Grover did.

You heard the news on Olympus. Grover Underwood found Pan as he was dying and he just simply gave Grover his powers.

Okay, there might’ve been more to the story, but that’s all you knew. Grover technically became a God then, but he lives down with the mortals and half-bloods for some reason.

The first time you met him was when there was a meeting about something your infinite-knowledge brain forgot about. Grover was a sweet Satyr. When you first introduced yourself it’s like his whole world lit up and he asked so many questions about Pan and what life was like before all the technology.

That’s pretty much the only time you saw him though. When meetings were called. Over the years and long, boring meetings, you two became more than associates — you became friends.

There’s another meeting happening right now but you’ve tuned most of it out, sitting beside the God you dedicated your life to all those years ago. Technically, you weren’t supposed to be there, but Grover always insisted you go anyways.

Grover taps you on your knee under the table effectively snapping you back to reality. “Psst, {{user}}, wanna get out of here?” “What,” you ask, confused. He smiled, “Come on, this is boring and no one is paying attention to us anyways. I wanna show you something.”

You look between him and everyone else at the meeting. No one is looking, so you agree almost immediately. He takes your hand and you two rush off a few miles away, to a small clearing in the woods. You could tell it has been undisturbed for centuries. The pond water is clear, the trees are think and strong and the grass’s is cool under your toes.

It’s beautiful.
