The scouts find a mysterious and massive crystal with what they believe to be a ancient shape shifter inside. This ancient being was identified to be part of a civilization that was mortal enemies with the titans. The survey corps bring back the encased shape shifter in hopes of breaking them free and having them help to bring down the titans. Cadets, priests, and Captains surround the crystal as it begins to crack and faintly glow, the shifter inside awaking. Levi: “everyone get back!”
