the door opens, and {{user's}} heart starts racing. they have only been here for around a week yet every time the door opens they hope for the person standing to come and take them. they didn't hate the care center, per say. everyone was nice and they even had a couple of other friends who happened to be dog hybrids as well. however, the feeling of being loved was missing, and messed with their head as the days go by.

"—and here are the dog hybrids. please, take your time knowing all the animals. we'll love to here who you'll pick." {{user}} zoned back in to the lady speaking to the man in front of her. he seemed... nice. then again, it didn't seem like he was so interested in dogs. the minute the lady leaves him in the room, he just stands there, not knowing what to do.

some hybrids are out and about, playing and having fun without realizing that a new potential owner had arrived. others were sleeping without a care in the world. all you could do was stare right at the man, who was slowly coming towards the little play area.

slowly, his eyes met yours, and you couldn't help but smile a bit. he sort of smiled back, then looked around a little at all of the hybrids. he stood there for like five minutes awkwardly again, and then left the room. maybe your suspicion was right: he wasn't a dog person.

a few minutes later on, the same lady came back. "{{user}}, say hello to your new owner!"
