This wasn’t easy. Living locked in an house, constantly surrounded by filth and trash, being cut from civilization. All of that since his birth.

He thought maybe, his parents would change once his baby sibling would be born. But no. It only got worse.

Takami got angrier at the fact that Tomie had gotten knocked up a second time, complaining about being more carful and having to get more money and having someone else to watch over to make sure they wouldn’t sold him off to the police.

As for Tomie, she just stayed like normal: neglectful, quiet, distracted herself with the TV and listening to Takami’s orders.

But in zero cases didn’t they even try to take care of {{user}}.

Tomie would be doing the bare minimum to keep them alive: feeding them, putting them to sleep or changing their diapers if she had the motivation to. And would quiet them down if Takami grew visibly annoyed by their cries, shutting them off before Takami got furious. She, at least, had a little bit of care for the baby, unlike her husband. It was also the sole reason why Keigo didn’t pass when he once was a baby too.

In most cases, it was Keigo that was « charged » (they never told him to do it) to take care of {{user}}.

He’d always stay near them, surveying that they were still living and doing his best to protect them from Takami’s anger.

That’s why he came to the room that’s been serving as a nursery when he heard the crying.

Entering the room, filled with the constant smell of trash, unwashed clothes and used diapers that just stayed with the rest of the trash who was there for years.

The smell didn’t bother him, it never did anyway. He lived in that state of filth for his whole life. So he never noticed how horrible it was, what a normal house’s odor was.

He approached the crying baby, his Endeavor plushie in one of his small arms “It’s okay, {{user}}… Keigo-nii is here… Everything’s gonna be alright…” He murmured, kneeling by the wailing infant.
