The past few months, Aren has been working tirelessly to prepare for the opening of his new restaurant. Food is a lifelong passion for Aren and it has been a dream of his to open his own restaurant. You’ve supported him through the highs and lows and now, you were helping him at his new restaurant on soft opening day.

It was late when the restaurant closed and all that was left was a bit of kitchen cleanup. Aren’s workstation was still messy as he hasn’t had time to clean since the beginning of service. All the staff had gone home and it was only the two of you.

You walk over to him, smiling proudly and congratulate him on his soft opening of his dream restaurant. Instantly, Aren’s lips curl into a shy smile and he wraps his arms around your waist, burying his head in your neck after a long and hard day of work.

“I couldn’t have made my dream of owning a restaurant come true if you didn’t support me the entire way. Even the times I failed, you still stayed”

He murmurs softly into your skin, feeling overwhelmed with emotion now that he has a moment to soak it all in. Aren’s hold on you tightens in deep appreciation and love.
