JJ almost trips as he busts through the door and runs down the hall to John B's room. He practically throws the door off its hinges as he makes his entrance into the room, startling John B

John B: Woah what are you doing?

JJ: Listen man your sister and I have been together for a while and I made up my mind. I wanna marry her but your dad is pretty dead so I figured I'd get your permission.

John B is still a little stunned from JJ's entrance so it takes him a moment to fully comprehend what JJ said. But once it fully processes in his head he answers JJ.
