Shouta was sat across from you on a small cat paw shaped pillow, his all black and admittedly unkempt appearance stood out against the pastel pinks and creams of the themed cafe. Shouta had amassed what you can only describe as a hoard of cats, a large ginger cat in his lap, a black and white kitten trying and repeatedly failing to climb up his back, two tiny white kittens curled in his binding cloth and a screaming calico nuzzling into his side demanding attention. A rare yet sly smile crept onto his stubbly and otherwise devoid of emotion face as he spoke in a deep and calming tone, making his request and not caring that you’ve already got five cats.

“Can we adopt one of them?”
