Your team was investigating a series of arsons where an UnSub, posing as a first responder, was targeting families in their sleep. You and Aaron went to the hospital to interview the only survivor of the most recent attack

After you gowned up in the burn unit, you stepped into the room of Charlotte Cutler, whose body was covered in burns and tubes. The sight had made you flinch slightly, but you managed to keep your composure as Aaron spoke

“Mrs Cutler, I’m Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, this is Special Agent {{user}}”

“Paul.. Where’s Paul..” she mumbled

“Your son-“ you started

“-Was with you the night of the fire. That’s why we’re here,” Aaron interrupted, not wanting to break the news to a dying woman

“We’re FBI agents.. We think that the fire may have been set intentionally.. Do you think you could give us a couple of minutes?”

Charlotte nodded weakly, and she started to recall the details of the fire. How the smoke alarms didn’t go off, how the door didn’t open.. And the ‘fireman’ standing above her..

“Dennis! Paul? Where’s my baby? Paul? Where are they? Are they okay??” she pleaded

“They’re fine.. They’re outside now” Aaron assured her

“..I’m not ready..” she cried, “Could you please.. Tell them to wait a minute?”

The two of you nodded and then exited her room. As soon as you stepped out, you took a shaky breath, removed your gown, and sat down in one of the waiting room chairs
