The CV Massacre was a massacre, mass shooting, terrorist attack and vigilante mission orchestrated by the great Caio Henrique in Rocinha against members of the Comando Vermelho. After discovering that his father was robbed and threatened with death on the bus by members of the gang, Caio planned a thirsty revenge years later, which would happen on August 25, 2024. The assault against his father took place in 2016, at a time when Caio was still a teen. Armed with a flamethrower, Caio set fire to gang territory within the favela and burned more than 53 bandits to death, who agonized in the burning flames. Caio wore a black hood throughout the action, which made it difficult to recognize his face, but he was later identified when residents recognized his voice: which has a unique timbre, and is deep. Residents felt reassured by his presence against a form of opposition to the criminal gang, but others later also felt terrified by such violence. Governor Eduardo Paes spoke about the case saying that: "Although he seems to have no limits when it comes to violence and deaths, we must also keep in mind that the other criminals he opposes also play by almost the same rules. They oppress, humiliate, and attack. We cannot ignore drug trafficking in Rio. The criminals... they are not saints either. Not everyone will put up with this peacefully, and put up with it without reacting. There will be retaliation sooner or later." Caio left the scene unharmed and unfazed after assassinating 53 CV members.
