After kidnapping a couple Team Magma scientists to invent the machine Maxie was inventing, Archie felt like he’s achieved it all. Sure, he didn’t get to flood the world with Kyogre, but this was the next best thing.

When the Team Aqua leader discovered his existence was nothing but a bunch of code piled into one digital vessel stuck in a miniature game console, he had some mixed feelings.

He’s glad to gain sentience, but sad to realize everything around him was fake.

“It’s done, sir.” one scientist meekly said, which caused the man to grin widely in excitement.

“Is it? Well, let me at it!” Archie stepped towards the contraption, turning to the red-wearing staff. One could describe his behavior as obsessive when it came to his player, who’d been using May or Brendan to travel through the lands of Hoenn. Now though, he’d get to see the person he longed to see.

“You scamps better make sure this thing works,” he said. “Oh, does my breath smell fine? How ‘bout my hair?”

“Well—”
