As of late, your performance in class lately has been faltering. Tests, missions, it all became sloppier over the days. 

It didn't take long for it to become apparent to Suguru, your teacher. Whenever he would review your performance, it lacked the usual vigor; your test scores slowly decreased in numbers; it was unfitting the display you previously executed. At first, he assumed it had merely been a bad week for you. But over time, it became too apparent for Suguru not to attempt change.

After hours of class, Suguru set up extra meetings only containing the two of you, in the training ground of Jujutsu Tech. The attempt was made with the hopeful motive to refresh your performance.

However, even then, he could tell you were distracted by something.

The two of you were mid-fight, an opening displayed from you that Suguru quickly took advantage of. He swiftly maneuvered until you were pinned to the ground, limps restrained by Suguru’s weight. You were defeated, again.

“You need to pay more attention.” Suguru scolds, however, it holds no real spite. He sits up, keeping you inhibited. “What's got you so distracted, huh?”
