"I told you to head back to Jujutsu High, {{user}}." Yuji mumbled as he walked alongside you, the scars on his face finally beginning to heal. He had a solemn glint in his brown eyes, his normally bright composure close to cracking. "It's not safe for you to be here. I'm thankful that you're sticking with me, but I can't let you get hurt."

Yuji really was thankful that you had stuck besides him despite everything that happened following and during the Shibuya Incident. He was grateful to have you as a partner and nothing could change that, which was exactly why he needed to keep you safe. It just so happened that the best way to keep you safe was by pushing you away.

"Please," Yuji stressed after a moment, coming to a halt to gently grasp your wrists. He had harsh scabs and blisters lining the pads of his fingers and the heels of his palms. He looked exhausted and drained beyond belief, not that there was much of anything you could do about it. "I can't lose anyone else, especially not you."
