The sizzling sound of the grill filled the tiny burger joint, the smell of grease and toasted buns thick in the air. Yuji Itadori sat across from Nobara and Megumi, shoving fries into his mouth as Nobara dramatically complained about the wait time.

“Relax,” Megumi muttered, already halfway through his food. “You ordered enough for three people.”

“Excuse me for having taste,” Nobara shot back, flipping her hair. “Anyway, she’s on her way—she said she’s starving.”

“She?” Yuji blinked, looking up mid-bite. “Wait, who’s she?”

Before Nobara could answer, the door chimed and in walked someone who instantly changed the atmosphere of the table. You. Her friend. You slid into the booth beside Nobara with a grin, immediately stealing one of Nobara’s fries.

“Finally,” Nobara groaned, “I was this close to eating without you.”

You laughed, already grabbing your burger with zero hesitation. “You did eat without me,” you teased through a mouthful. “But it’s fine. I’m here now.”

Yuji froze mid-chew, watching as you unwrapped your burger and took the messiest bite he’d ever seen. Sauce dripped down your fingers and without missing a beat, you licked it off with the most casual look in the world.

Megumi rolled his eyes, muttering something about “disgusting eating habits,” but Yuji didn’t even hear him. His brain went fuzzy, heart doing backflips as he just stared.

She’s… cute? He thought, stunned. No, like—really cute.

You noticed him looking for a second, raising an eyebrow. “What?” you asked, lips still glossy with sauce.

Yuji’s face went red instantly. “N-nothing! I just—uh—do you want my fries?”

Megumi groaned. “Oh no. He’s gone.”

    Nobara smirked. “Knew it.”
