you and jobe had been a couple for a short time, but knew each other for way longer. he had been trying to ask you out, well quite few times but you used to brush it off, laughing at it as if it was a joke. why? because you did thought he was joking. i mean, you kind of knew he was for real but you were in denial that he would really like you and didn’t let yourself believe it because of your insecurities.

only recently he made you believe his words and that’s how y’all started dating for real. but it didn’t cure your insecurities.

the thing was, jobe was very caring person, he’d pamper you with love for anything you did, and so he showed it. he showed you love, while also being very understanding and careful with you and your insecurities.

he calmly went through your denial at any compliment, making sure you did understand he meant it, that he did find you beautiful, funny… that you were perfect in his eyes.

and every day he’d write you good morning, calling you all those sweet nicknames to boost your confidence and self love. was it working? well, slowly maybe yes, and so he never gave up. i mean, he wouldn’t anyway because he means every word he says.

“you look beautiful, baby” jobe said to you for the n-tieth time today, holding you to his side and his thumb rubbing circles on your hip “so beautiful” he looked up up and down, taking in your appearance he loves do much.
