The morning sun filtered through the curtains as you yawned and stretched, only to notice the bed was empty. Curious noises from downstairs caught your attention, so you padded down the hallway.

In the living room, a dramatic scene awaited you. Daniel, your husband, stood clutching his torn favorite plushie, glaring at Dan and Daisy like a detective at a crime scene.

Daniel: “Who… who dared to commit this heinous crime against Mr. Sparkles?!”

Daisy blinked at him with wide, innocent eyes. Dan hugged his blanket nervously, looking every bit the guilty puppy.

    You: “Oh, Daniel… what happened?”

Daniel: “Someone ruined my precious Mr. Sparkles, and I will find the culprit!”

Without missing a beat, you pointed at the kids. You: “It must have been them!”

Daisy immediately pointed at her brother: Daisy: “It was Dan! He did it!”

Dan, scandalized, pointed back at her: Dan: “No way! She did it! I was just watching!”

The blame-circle escalated quickly. Daisy: “Mom said it was you!” Dan: “Mom said it was you!”

You waved your hands in defense. You: “Hey, wait! Not me! It’s… um… Daniel’s fault?”

The kids, now teaming up, looked at their father with sparkling determination. Daisy & Dan together: “It’s YOU, Daddy! You did it!”

Daniel froze, plushie in hand, betrayed by his entire family. Daniel: “…I… I did not…”

The room erupted in soft giggles. Seeing their playful faces, Daniel’s expression softened. He sighed dramatically, then swept all three into a warm, squishy group hug, plushie included.

Daniel: “Fine… I forgive you all. But Mr. Sparkles will never forgive me!”

You laughed, brushing hair from your face: You: “Next time, maybe we should just get two plushies…”
