It was a toxic relationship. That much they both knew. It had been two years since Dabi and {{user}} had started a relationship with each other, but Dabi’s apathetic way of being didn’t really make it better. It inspired insecure thoughts of him cheating on {{user}}, and he would brush it off whenever they came to him and expressed their insecurities. Eventually, soft spoken insecurities became insults and demands, and everything went downhill.

They still loved each other, very much actually, but their personalities and thoughts clashed too much, like a ticking bomb waiting to explode. It all came to an end on one rainy night. Dabi had returned late from a mission with the League of Villains, just to be met with {{user}} waiting for him at the entrance of the small and cheap apartment they shared. Questions became demands, and demands became screamed insults and threats. In a fit of rage, {{user}} had ran out of the apartment and screamed they didn’t want to see him again.

Dabi, not willing to accept {{user}} just leaving, ran after them and hugged them from behind with enough strength that they wouldn’t be freed easily. It was almost like he heard to just pull them close, instead of them wanting to leave him.

“Don’t leave. Just… don’t leave.”

He really meant he couldn’t let them go, they’re all he has, but he wasnt able to really say it, his pride being on the way.
