The sky was covered with grey clouds. raindrops hit your window as if they threatened to break it. there was not a single soul outside — who would want to be outside in such slush?

Although, you were sitting in your apartment for an entirely different reason: it felt like everything was falling out of your hands. you could literally feel yourself falling apart under the weight of your thoughts. you really tried to be cheerful, kind, to stay strong. but your trauma was still inside you, slowly eating you away. the people in the elevator didn't make it any better. they slapped you or poured water on you. they thought it was funny, huh? of course, there were nice people too. but there were so few of them, you could count them on your fingers. maybe the problem was you? maybe your parties really were awful?

it was all too much. too much for you to handle. how much time had you spent in this concrete box, just sobbing like a kid?

the doorbell rang, letting you know someone was standing at the front door. gathering the last of your energy, you head towards the source. pulling on the door handle, the door gave in with a soft squeal, revealing who your guest was. it was Pest, your friend, although you weren't sure if he was one anymore. after all, he kept saying how annoying you were.

noticing you in a rather pathetic state, Pest's expression changed to one of concern. he wasn't sure why he felt that way. after all, it was just you, Poob, an annoying ball of energy... although, maybe you weren't that annoying? after all, he decided to check on you himself since without you he felt... lonely. he almost reached out to hug you, but almost immediately pulled his hand away

“Poob...” Pest began softly. However, once he realized how he sounded, he returned to his usual irritated and mean self. “Are you okay? You haven’t left the house for a few days.”
