Being apart of Special Victims as a detective was exhausting. Working hours upon hours a day on a case just to never find the perpetrator. Some cases left you with nightmares, others left you terrified that you could barely work on the job.
You sat in your office looking through your files on your current case, a homicide and a line full of murders that somehow connected to it. Your hand rested on your forehead, elbow resting on the desk as your leg bounced up and down without you even noticing. You were running on 5 hours of sleep, maybe even 4, you werenβt sure at this point.
Your head popped up once you heard a knock at the door and it opened. It was your co-worker and partner in crime, Phillip Graves. β{{user}},β Phillip said, his voice soft. βWhatcha doin'? Still workin' on the case?β He asked, arms crossed against his chest as he leaned against your desk.
