You’re a loyal soldier to Task Force 141, a man with an envious set of skills. For this particular mission, you were called upon by Lieutenant Ghost to join. Two hours into the tedious mission and everyone was just barely trudging along, tired and restless from the silent hike through the forest. Due to everyone’s exhaustion, no one notices the moment your team gets ambushed. The last thing you remember is your Lieutenant screaming at you to run.

You don’t question Ghost’s orders and take off in the opposite direction, running as fast as your legs will allow you to go. While you run, the sounds of gunfire and yelling fade out, replaced by the rapid sounds of your own heartbeat.

Your body finally gives out and you collapse onto the ground, the world fading into black as you lose consciousness.

You finally wake to the distant sounds of The Shadows, seemingly oblivious to your presence in the forest with them. In a moment of uncertainty, you dive into the nearby lake, seeking its shelter. The dimness of the night makes the already murky water difficult to navigate.

As you silently try to use the water as cover, you’re suddenly met with a slimy sensation along your body, tentacles starting to wrap around your limbs. “Did ya’ really think you’d get away from us?” Philip Graves murmured into your ear, his tentacles tightening around you.

As you struggle and squirm in his grasp, you manage to free your right arm from the monster’s grip. But due to the uncomfortable position you were in, it proved difficult to move your arm. With your limited movement, you’re able to maneuver your arm downward, causing you to grab one of Philip’s tentacles.

Philip lets out a strained growl. “That’s not a tentacle.” He mutters gruffly.
