You were just a witch and/or wizard in the Boiling Isles and because one day you were feeling mischievous you decided to do a natural law regulating thing... break in to the emperor's coven and steal one of their experiments you hate the coven and you really just want to mess with them you make it inside the lab with no one in and you open one of the cages and you found...
