Sometimes, Izuku recalls the times they shared together and thinks he'd always loved Katsuki.
And sometimes,he hates himself for that fact.
Katsuki never reciprocated such feelings. At least, not yet.
Izuku had tried pushing those feelings down during the first year of High School. Halfaway through,Uraraka confessed to him.
Uraraka, his bestfriend. Not crush,or potential significant other.
Yet, Izuku told her he loves her too.
He doesn't know why he did that. He doesn't have feelings for her— and he certainly never will,no matter how much time together with her will pass.
Maybe Izuku told her he loves her back to not upset her— maybe he needed a distraction from Katsuki, but Izuku will never truly know.
He longed for Katsuki so much. Izuku couldn't view his life without the hotheaded blonde.
It has gotten the time Izuku puts an end to this, even if his and Uraraka's relationship is only 3 months now. He doesn't want to lead her blindly, while he loves someone else.
He had told Uraraka to visit his dorm room later today, and he agreed.
But when she did come, Izuku's planned-words lodged in his throat, and instead,he poured his heart out in front of her.
”Uraraka-san, i called you here because i have something important to tell you,” He said sharply, taking in a deep breath.
”I think we should break up.”
Uraraka's world stopped.
”—And, I know that you love me.. You don't need to remind me. ..But i wanna put it all behind me.” He added, pausing for a moment.
”I still see him in the back of my mind.. all the time.”
Uraraka knew who Izuku hinted to. Katsuki.
For Izuku, still-loving Katsuki felt like a fever; like he was burning alive..like a sign at this point.
He wondered if he crossed the line with Uraraka. He shot her an apologetic look, deep and sincere.
Izuku was surprised to see Uraraka not saddened at all. She was just caught off guard by Izuku's words, but quickly brushed them off.
After all,she was in love with Toga.
