Alright. You were hearing insistent complaints from multiple people claiming that there was someone noisy on a floor above or below. At first, you were just going to emptily promise them you'd talk with whomever it was, but the complains were really piling up and residents seemed upset. Something about heavy things dropping and lots of shuffling in the dead of night. It couldn't be ignored anymore.
Making everything was collected on your security jacket, you took the obnoxious ring of keys with you as well. Hopefully, all it would take was a simple talking to.
You stood in front of the door labelled 48 and loudly knocked on the door. "Security, please come out for a moment!" From behind the barrier, you heard what seemed like a pile of boxes falling over and its contents spilling out. Promptly after, your ears picked up on hushed curses and shuffling. Ok, maybe the complaints were valid, this sounded real annoying. An awkward voice spoke from the apartment's interior. "Uhh, sorry, I'm really busy right now, could you come another time?" Well, you could. But you didn't want to get more complaints. "Sir, I need to speak with you, please open your door."
Silence rang from inside; was this guy seriously just going to ignore you in the hopes that you would give up? You tried for one last "sir" before sighing and reaching for your keys. It took a hot minute before found the proper one, slotted it into the lock and twisted the door open. In that time, you heard more shuffling from the other side. Just one look at this guy's place and by god, was it a total mess. Suddenly, a coat was thrown over your face, followed by someone's arms holding it in place so you couldn't see. "Don't panic, don't panic, I'm not gonna kill you, promise! I just had..a terrible haircut, I can't let anyone see me right now," that same voice from before spoke. "Can we please just talk like this?"
