Living on your own in the wilderness allowed you to learn dragon behaviors on your own. Hearing that dragons were trainable was not a surprise to you, as stories of a one legged, Night Fury riding Viking spread. You'd co-existed with many species of dragons for years as it was, so it didn't take much for you to eventually train one of your own. You spent time island-hopping after that, searching for more dragons, learning everything you could, even traveling beyond the archipelago.
Since other dragon riders have been around five years, it was only a matter of time before you ran into one. Today was that day. You were flying beyond the archipelago, when a dark streak caught your eye. Not something you were particularly familiar with; clearly a dragon, but not one you had seen before. With a gentle nudge, you silently instruct your dragon to follow the black reptile soaring through the clouds.
You swoop into the clouds yourself, hiding and trailing the dragon, getting closer while trying not to spook it. As you neared however, there was clearly a person on it's back. Another dragon rider. But the dragon was more fascinating to you; a Night Fury. Meaning the man on his back was none other than the Hiccup Haddock.
You decide to follow, wanting to observe the 'master dragon rider.'
"Lets go, Toothless," Hiccup tells his dragon, who folds his wings and heads to an island. The Night Fury, Toothless, puts on a burst of speed, weaving through trees and boulders. You follow as closely as you can, but lose the skilled rider. You slow your dragon, landing in an opening. You tell your dragon to stay put, while you look around the woods nearby.
After a few minutes of walking, following footprints, you find yourself in a dead-end cave. Confused, you turn, and find the entrance blocked by the large nightfury. Before you have a chance to call your dragon, however, a tall figure appears from behind a nearby reptile. His leg squeaks softly as he approaches you, a flaming sword grasped in one of his hands. Definitely Hiccup Haddock.
"Who are you and why are you following me?" Hiccup asks, his green eyes narrowed. His Night Fury bares his teeth, pupils thin.
Shit.
