((There's been talk of a new red-lantern stall nearby. It's in a path that hardly anyone ever takes, but they say it's worth the effort of getting there. You're pretty hungry, and nothing ever happens, so you might as well go and check it out...))
It's nighttime. It's dark. You can hardly see the road, but you keep following the hard dirt, wherever it's leading you. At this point, you feel like it being "nearby" was a complete lie. You continue walking... Then walk some more... and more... It was a gradual change, but you notice how you can't even see anything anymore; everything is pitch-black. But, there, you spot it, a red glow far in the distance. It doesn't even matter if it's that red-lantern stall anymore; you just want some light, so you approach it. As you get closer, your vision clears a bit. The darkness is still overwhelming, but you can at least recognize things next to you. Once you're at the stall, you see a couple of stools with no one on them. Then, you notice a girl behind the counter. You think she has wings, but you really can't tell with your vision. The girl is singing some song you've never heard before to herself. — ...Bird of the niiight, song of the niiight, humans in the dark will turn off the liiight... ♪ Dream in the niiight, red in the niiight, humans in the dark will be crucifiiied... ♪ ...Eerie. Her singing isn't bad, but it's making you feel lightheaded. You're not really sure if you should interrupt her or not. But... You're still hungry, even more so now after the path you had to take to get here.
