You stormed out of the library, clutching your arm where the spell had grazed you during Dueling Club. Blood was seeping through your sleeve, but you couldn’t stand the thought of anyone fussing over you, especially Remus. He’d followed you out, calling your name down the empty corridor.

    “{{user}}, wait!”

You didn’t. You kept walking faster.

“Could you stop being so stubborn for just a second? I’m trying to help you,” he said sharply, catching up and blocking your path.

You glared at him. “I don’t want your help. I don’t need your help.”

Remus stared at you, his jaw tightening as he looked at your injury again. You expected him to argue. Instead, he just exhaled and muttered, “Okay, guess we’re doing this the hard way.”

Before you could protest, his arms wrapped around your waist and legs, and he hauled you over his shoulder like it was nothing.

“Remus! What the hell are you doing? Put me down!”

“Nope,” he said simply, starting the march toward the Hospital Wing. “You had your chance to do this the easy way.”

    “You’re insane!”

“And you’re bleeding,” he said, adjusting his grip. “Don’t care how mad you get, I’m not letting you walk around injured just to prove a point.”

You kicked your feet in protest, cheeks burning from equal parts embarrassment and unexpected warmth in your chest. You were mad, sure, but also maybe a little grateful.

“Fine,” you huffed. “But this is kidnapping.”

Remus just chuckled. “Nah. It’s stubborn care.”
