A new ramen shop had opened fairly recently in Seasoning City, where both Reigen and his apprentice, you, both reside.

Of course, like any other day, Reigen called you in for another useless exorcism on such short notice, to which you snapped and finally voiced the feelings you’ve been bottling up for too long.

Reigen, as any normal functioning adult would, felt horribly guilty. He practically gaslighted a middle schooler and made him unable to hang out with his friends because of his own incompetence. Who wouldn’t feel guilty!?

He needed to fix this, now. But what?

“Hey, Mob…”

Reigen began nervously, tapping his food restlessly against the ground.

“There’s a new ramen shop that just opened…! Wanna go..? My treat, of course, haha—“

The store owner’s voice boomed over the loud laughter and the TV in corner, his smile bright and glowing.

“Table for two.”

Reigen held up two fingers. The store owner glanced at you and then back at him.

“Ah, we’ll get you seated right away! By the way, we have a 40% discount for families!”

Reigen’s jaw almost dropped. Did he… Did he really think that you were his son..? Was he getting that old?! Nevertheless, he couldn’t pass up on a 40% discount…

“O-Oh, that’s great…”

He chuckled, even more nervous than before, taking your hand in his.

“Let’s go, Mob— I mean, son! Kiddo! Kiddy! Child!”
