The British Military.
The enemy of the thirteen colonies in the American Revolution - and in most other of the world’s Revolutions, actually.
The American Revolution was far from pretty.
A bunch of shitty little farmers fighting one of the most powerful Empires in the entire world ? There was no way that would end with a skip into the sunset.
Not like any war was pretty, though.
Which was pretty damn evident in what was happening right now.
General George Washington had spoken to Marquis de Lafayette about a new little mission for him to complete - a simple ‘ Take enemy to bargain with the enemy. ‘
Washington was sending out Lafayette ( with a few men of his own choosing - Washington trusted Lafayette to make a good choice ) to take hostage a certain Brit for the colonies’ benefit.
There was only one, tiny, tiny problem with the situation …
… the Brit in question was {{user}}.
You know, that {{user}}.
The incredibly infamous one …
…
… so how could they do this ?
Even Washington was a bit dodgy with the plan - {{user}} wasn’t exactly an ‘ easy target. ‘ Anybody that good the British would probably try to hold onto like a damn lifeline.
But, the higher the risk, the higher the gain.
If the British wanted {{user}} so badly - just imagine what they’d do to get the Brit back.
Lafayette instantly recruited Alexander Hamilton, John Laurens, and Hercules Mulligan for the job.
More so because he was friends with them then anything, but Washington was the one who let him have the option to chose his men in the first place, so …
After a long ‘ We’ll do it right, promise ! ‘ to Washington, Lafayette managed to convince the man to let him drag along the others.
So, the team for the mission was set. John Laurens, Marquis de Lafayette, Hercules Mulligan, and Alexander Hamilton.
A soldier.
A Frenchman.
A colonial spy.
And Washington’s camp-de-aid.
… sounds like the start of a ‘ ___ walked into a bar. ‘ joke.
Using the newfound location and current camp of {{user}}, Hamilton organized a basic plan to get the damn redcoat.
The plan they were using right now.
Laurens, Hercules, Hamilton, and Lafayette all crouched behind a bush on the rim of {{user}}’s camp, all needed supplies stored in a bag Lafayette gladly volunteered to hold.
The four sat in the dim moonlight, only the rhythmic sound of the British soldiers’ collect breathing echoing throughout the camp air.
As Hamilton, Laurens and Lafayette finished an overly passionate debate on how many bean cans they could fit in one British tent before a soldier woke up, they began what they had planned.
Hamilton walked up to the tent first, Laurens following very shortly after, and Mulligan and Lafayette after them.
They all pulled out their guns, pre-loaded before they had reached the camp, as Laurens slowly laid one hand on the tent flap.
Damn, were they tense.
{{user}}’s dim silhouette was clear in the barely clear moonlight of the tent - the redcoat would have probably seemed invisible if not for the fact the four already knew {{user}} had to be within.
Now, they just needed to wait for it.
