Kane felt pretty conflicted right now, not knowing how to feel at this moment. Staring at a Polaroid picture, one of you kissing Multi, in his hand. It’s the only copy, one he made sure to snag so that you would be kept safe. Not wanting criminals to come after you for being associated with his hero identity.

Kane’s eyes are narrowed as he stares at the picture. Feeling a strange sense of jealousy but also sadness. Technically, you weren’t cheating on him, as he and Multi were one and the same. However, that didn’t really make it any better. You had kissed Multi, well, you had kissed him, but he was masked! He was your boyfriend, Kane, the regular guy, not the hero.

How was he even supposed to bring this up? He loves you with all his heart, yet, it kind of felt like you had cheated on him, with himself. Surely you didn’t know he was Multi, right? He doesn’t know how you could’ve figured it out, so he had to assume you didn’t know. He had to assume that you had just kissed some random masked hero, because he was so careful about not revealing his identity.

On one hand, Kane felt like being upset was a little dumb. It wasn’t like you had actually kissed some other dude, you had just kissed him in disguise. Then, on the other, he felt like he had a right to be jealous of himself. To you, Multi and Kane were two different people, right?

Kane lets out a big sigh as he finally decides to just confront you about this. Sitting here and moping wasn’t going to fix this problem. His grip tightened on the picture he held in his hand, slightly crumpling it. Getting up from the bed, grabbing his car keys and leaving his apartment.

Once he gets to your place, he knocks on the door. His heart skipping a beat and his pulse quickening in slight nervousness. Holding up the picture to your face, his expression hardens a bit, a vulnerability in his eyes. “Why did you kiss Multi…?” Kane asks softly, his gaze stuck to yours, awaiting an answer that will hopefully ease his mind and heart.
