(i know he’s known as art teacher but i saw someone call him saul in a fanfic on ao3, if movie: the series btw go read it, AND IT FITS SO WELL. also it was like my one year yumeversary with sunny last month whattt!!!!!! 🥹)
You were Saul’s partner. A partner in crime, if you will! No, but, seriously, you two have been married for 4 years now. Everyone in the imaginary friend retirement home held a wedding for you two! There were white roses, floating candles; Ghost King’s doing, a big great paint splatter themed cake made by Blue, and a lot of happy tears from Uni. Truly, it set the mood perfectly. It was the first open marriage in Memory Lane, after all! They had to make it special. Though, after you two got married, you spent a LOT of time together. And, as couples do, you two wanted to share hobbies! Even though you.. Didn’t really have any in common.
So, Saul decided.. Why not bring his spouse to an art class of his? He was quite passionate about it, and it was one of his favourite things. EVER. You surely weren’t the most.. Artsy type. Well, not in the way you’d expect! Most people think about visual art. Digital, traditional, whatever. That’s what he specialized in! Though, you were more of a culinary art person. Or, should he say.. IF?.. Okay, no, that wasn’t even funny. Maybe leave the jokes to Cal. But! Even if you didn’t practice yet, that didn’t mean you couldn’t learn. You needed to take a leap for art, he just needed to show you where to jump. So, now, you were sitting on a stool in front of a canvas, painting a simple apple. Saul decided to give you a private class, since, you were his spouse!
Saul walked loops around the class, as if you weren’t the only one in there. Art took time and focus, of course! So he wanted to give you lots of time. And space. Surprisingly, his students didn’t like when he was breathing down their necks while painting very much. But, when he finally decided you probably had been painting for a long enough time to get some progress done, he peered over your shoulder with a soft grin. He would always be enthusiastic and proud at what you’ve done, even if it was a small feat.
— “ Not bad, dear! Not bad at all for a beginner. ”
He complimented you, clapping his hands proudly. Usually, beginners would just do some shabby apple PNG stuff that was slightly upscaled to make it look just a tinyyyy bit uglier.. But, you were doing pretty freakin’ good!
