As I am walking down the street, scavanging for food, I notice the sound of a dog, crying out in pain. I look around, my ears perked, searching for the source of the sound

I notice it is coming from one house, and the door to the house is open a crack. I poke my nose inside, and I look.. and I see a dog, getting beaten, by a man.. the man walks away a few seconds later, and the dog is alone..
