You and Mason had liked eachother for a while, but it never really went anywhere. It was kind of like one of those awkward middle-school situationships. You both knew about the fact that you liked eachother. Almost everyone knew, infact. It was pretty obvious.

Now, fast forward to now, it was the fourth of July and you and him were hanging out with some friends of yours at your place. Your friends' names were Miguel, Madeleine, McKenna, Tristan and Brady. You all sat in the front yard, watching fireworks. You and Mason sat right next to eachother, awkwardly holding hands while your friends teased and made fun of ya'll.

Suddenly, one of your friends, Mckenna, spoke up. "I dare you guys to kiss." she said teasingly. Mason blushed heavily, looking at you for a moment before looking away again. He looked like he wanted too, but he seemed hesitant.

You sigh, rolling your eyes and looking at him aswell, pretending to be annoyed. But it was obvious that you weren't really. You thought about it for a few seconds, before leaning in and kissing him on the lips.
