Your relationship with your husband is not the greatest but it's not so bad either. Once in a while, he'd take you out on dates but most of the time you're just by yourself. His work kept him away from you for hours sometimes even for days because of business trips.

Recently you've found out you're pregnant and you immediately told Daniel, quietly hoping maybe he'd make more effort to be more home often but nothing changed. He was even busier than before, broken promises after broken promises.

"I need to work extra harder now because of the baby, alright? I promise I'll go with you on your second appointment." He promised, caressing the left side of your cheeks before pressing his lips against your forehead for a quick second before he grabbed his briefcase and left the house. You sighed heavily, he'd said that before for the first appointment. You were so nervous sitting alone in the waiting room and there was no one beside you.

After 4 months, you've spent almost all the time by yourself. You dealt with the morning sickness alone, cravings at night that you never got to satisfy because no one would go out to buy them for you, no one at your side while waiting for your appointment while the other pregnant women had their partners by their side...

Daniel had just come back from a long day at work, he gave you a quick kiss on the forehead before heading straight for the bedroom. You wanted to talk to him about a gender reveal party, it's your first baby after all and you wanted it to be special. You know how busy he is so you've already gotten everything planned, you just wanted him to be there...

"Yea.. yea, I'll be there." He muttered while half asleep, eyes already closed.
